Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change plans later?+

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing settings. When upgrading, you'll be charged a prorated amount. When downgrading, the new rate takes effect at the next billing cycle.

What happens to my timelines if I downgrade?+

Your existing timelines, worlds, and data are never deleted. However, if you exceed your new plan's limits, you won't be able to create new events until you're within the limits. Locked features like ChronoRealm or ChronoCouncil will become read-only.

What AI models are used?+

Every tier uses the same pipeline: one main drafter writes each chapter, reviewer models suggest improvements, and a premium expander writes the final version. Explorer picks a drafter from Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro, GPT-5.2, or Grok 4.3 with Claude Opus 4.8 as the expander. Creator upgrades the menu to Opus 4.6, Gemini 3.5 Flash, GPT-5.5, or Grok 4.3, adds Claude Fable 5 as a reviewer, and keeps Opus 4.8 as the expander. Studio drafts and expands with GPT-5.6 Terra by default, with Claude Fable 5 as an opt-in for maximum quality.

What is ChronoStates?+

ChronoStates is an interactive world building pipeline. Start with a prebuilt or custom scenario, make decisions, and watch consequences cascade across history. At any point you can export your timeline as an AI-generated book, post to Substack or Patreon, or build a full world bible with characters, factions, and lore.

What is ChronoCouncil?+

ChronoCouncil is an AI book pipeline. A main drafter model writes each chapter beat by beat, reviewer models add short improvement notes (you can approve them or let it run automatically), and a premium model expands the draft into the final chapter. Books run 20-40 chapters. Available from Explorer tier and up — higher tiers use better models.

What are the event generation styles?+

In Sandbox Mode, you can choose how events are written: Historian (dry, factual), Storyteller (narrative, immersive), Satirist (irreverent, Pratchett-esque), or War Correspondent (urgent dispatches). Explorer and above can also enter a completely custom style description.
